The head of the department, Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem, inspected the first semester exams for the second, third, and fourth academic levels for the academic year 2023-2024, on Sunday, December 24, 2023, in the halls of the branch building.

Awareness seminar on combating corruption

 

 

As part of the activities of International Anti-Corruption Day and the Annual Integrity Week, the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering held an awareness seminar entitled: The role of social cultural awareness in protecting society from administrative, financial and moral corruption, in the presence of the Scientific Assistant, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul Kadhim Al-Rubaie, and the Administrative Assistant, Prof. Dr. Ramzi Hamid Sayhoud. And a number of teaching staff and associates.The lecture was given by M. M. Haneen Rashid Majeed from the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the Presidency of the University of Technology. The lecture touched on the factors encouraging the emergence of corruption and the effects of corruption on the Iraqi economy.At the conclusion of the symposium, the Administrative Assistant, Prof. Dr. Ramzi Hamid Sayhoud, on behalf of the Department Head, Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem, presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer for her fruitful efforts in making the symposium a success.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 



 

 

 

The Department of Oil and Gas Engineering held a workshop on the Bologna Track System today, Sunday, 1/7/2024, in the Smart Hall.The target groups in the course were the teaching and engineering staff of the laboratories and the administrative staff related to the students. The workshop was opened by the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem, explaining the importance of carrying out all the duties required in the Bologna track, including entering grades, attendance, etc., stressing the completion of all requirements during this week.

The workshop had three parts:

The first part was an introduction to the Bologna Track, delivered by the Head of the Petroleum Engineering Branch, Dr. Imad Abdel Hussein Fakher, in which he explained an introductory overview of the Bologna Track, stressing two matters: the first is the issue of attendance and absence for students, and the second is the issue of entering grades and evaluations into the system on an ongoing basis. The second part was about the professorship system for the engineering staff, delivered by the Director of Registration and Student Affairs, M.M. Jassim Muhammad Jalil explained how to manage the professor’s account and enter attendance, absence, and evaluations for students. The third part was about the management system for division managers, delivered by the branch’s rapporteur, M.M. Muhammad Abdullah Ahmed, explaining the duties of the Financial Division, the Statistics Unit, the Absences Committee, and the rest of the divisions and units in the Bologna Track System.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 



 

 

 

Dr. Hadeel Fawzi Jassim, head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, representative of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, participated in the solidarity stand for Palestinian women in Gaza, under the chairmanship of Dr. Mona Taha Idris, head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Presidency of the University of Technology, on Monday, January 8, 2024. In Tahrir Square. The solidarity stand expressed the solidarity of Iraqi women with the women of Palestine and the violations and brutal aggression they are subjected to. It is a stand for the heroism embodied by the patient, strong Palestinian woman.

 


 
 



 

 

 The Department of Oil and Gas Engineering held a general assembly for faculty members headed by Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem, head of the department, head of the branch, Dr. Imad Abdel Hussein Fakher, and the rapporteur of the branch, M. M. Muhammad Abdullah, and in the presence of the teaching staff, on Wednesday, 1/31/2024, in the auditorium.
