Within the seminars organized by the department for teachers and researchers, Asst. Prof.Dr. Najem Al-Rubaiey gave a lecture entitled " How to get your article published " on Monday 19/3/2018 on the conference hall in the department.
The lecture included important topics such as: the importance of publication in magazines with high impact factor as well as the issues that are published and the definition of impact factor as well as general information on the method of writing scientific research for the purpose of strengthening publication in those journals.
Within the seminars organized by the department for teachers and researchers, Assist.prof.Dr Raed Naeem Huyen gave a lecture entitled " Apply PBL methods in engineering practice " on Monday 19/3/2018 and on the conference hall in the department.
The lecture included the importance of engineering applications and application mechanisms and how to formulate the problem to simulate the reality of work, as workshops were held with the University of Missouri and in coordination with IREX organization to develop the reality of education and raise the quality of teaching engineering materials.
Within the seminars organized by the department for teachers and researchers, assist.lec Mohammed Ghazi gave a lecture entitled "How to Design" on Monday 19/3/2018 and on the conference hall in the department.
The lecture included how to design the designs through several axes: collection of information, analysis of the site, development of the program of the project, development of the proposed program, the work of the initial idea of design, design development, final design.
Within the activities of the university day, the committee of voluntary Work headed by deputy head for administrative affairs Dr. Raed Naeem Huyen with a voluntary campaign on Thursday 29/3/2018.
The campaign included the planting of seedlings in the gardens of the department and the coloring of sidewalks by students, teachers and associates in the service of the department and the university.
Under the auspices of the president of the university Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir ,The petroleum technology research unit was established a scientific research symposium entitled "Modern applications in oil exploration" within the joint cooperation between the department and the ministry of oil / oil exploration company On tuesday 17/4/2018 , in the presence of president of the university Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir , vice chancellor for scientific and postgraduate affairs Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdulhassan Atiya , head of the department Dr. Aqeel Shakir Ghani Al-Adili , number of representatives of the ministry of oil ,oil research and development , the Iraqi drilling company , the geological survey and a large number of teachers and associate department.
The symposium opened with the national anthem and recited by a verse from the Holy Quran the university president then delivered a speech in which he praised the seminars held in the department in the framework of joint cooperation with the ministry of oil ,he spoke about the importance of explorations in oil research , and addressed both vice chancellor for scientific and postgraduate affairs and the head of the department to the importance of scientific seminars that seek to develop the research side of the section by linking the theoretical side to the practical .
The symposium included two sessions, the first session, which included three lectures , the first was delivered by the senior chief geologists Walid Abdul Ghani / exploration Oil Company Where he spoke about the importance of remote sensing in the exploration of oil and natural phenomena using satellites , the second lecture was delivered by senior chief geologists Iman Jwad Shaker which included the study of hydrocarbon probabilities for the installation of Umm Al-Khashaf using this technique, while the third lecture by Dr. Faleh Mahdi Daem from the field of Nasiriyah .
The second session included two scientific lectures , the first lecture was delivered by the chief geologists Asaad Mortada Pasha / the oil exploration company on the reservoir controls behind the development of chalky consequences in the province of Nasiriyah oil , while the second lecture delivered by Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Tarash and Assist. Prof.Dr Amzahm Abdul Karim building and construction engineering department / University of Technology , which included the technique of (Hyper spectral remote sensing) in the exploration of oil and gas reservoirs, a very important technology in this field.
At the end of the symposium, the lecturers were honored with letters of thanks and appreciation by the President of the University. The Chairmen, the Rapporteurs and the organizing committee of the symposium were also honored for their efforts in making this symposium a success.
Within the seminars organized by the department for teachers and researchers,Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Hassan delivered a lecture entitled (Composite Materials) on Thursday 5/4/2018 on the conference hall in the department.
The lecture included the definition of composite materials and their classification, the importance of these materials and why they are used in mechanical structures, as well as their use in energy absorption and the use of the LS0DYNA program in the modeling of composite materials for shock absorption.
As part of the seminars organized by the department for teachers and researchers teaching , lecture.Dr. Maysa Ali Abd Al-Awn Al-Badri, director of research unit gave a lecture titled "Pros and Cons of implementing the google classroom" On Thursday 5/4/2018 on the conference hall, in the presence of the head of department Prof.Dr. Aqeel Shakir Ghani Al-Adili and a number of teachers.
Dr. Maisa reviewed the pros and cons that she noticed during her experience in the application of e-learning "google class room" The google class service is a big leap towards the development of university education where it is possible to create classrooms and the distribution of tasks and send instructions and see everything from one place without paper leases.
Dr. Maysa Ali is the first teacher to apply the "google class room" by creating this class sediments and sedimentary rocks of the first phase in the department.
Within the discussion sessions in the department, Dr. Sundus Ibrahim give a scientific lecture on (A Guide for Virtual Education Management System) on Monday 23/4/2018 on the conference hall in the presence of deputy head for scientific affairs , Dr. Adel Sharif Hamadi Al-Obaidi .
The lecture aimed at achieving the scientific benefit of from finding a virtual class capable of enhancing the interaction between the professor and the university student.
she talk in this lecture on the basic steps for the establishment of a virtual classroom and how to build the virtual classrooms and provide them with all means that help the professor to organize the lecture in a scientific and technological way and to help the student to absorb the scientific material in multiple ways through the application of the system google classroom). The lecture also included how to assign the assignment to the student and how to provide an exam for students and determine the time and date of delivery of the duty or exam.At the end of the presentation I left the opportunity to attend the discussion and ask questions. The pros were mentioned through the practical experience of the professor.

The students' projects included a study on the practical problems facing the oil industry at the present time in order to obtain better results to serve the country and develop it through the projects and studies that work on it.

The symposium aimed at diagnosing the problem of water scarcity in Iraq and searching for immediate and future solutions for safe management of water in Iraq and raising the executive recommendations of the proposed solutions and the need to activate them.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology and Under the slogan (Iraqi woman symbol of unity and construction) , The University of Technology held the annual Central Ceremony to honor Iraqi women on Monday 12/3/2018 and at the university theater in the presence of the President of the University Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir and a large number of teachers, associates and students.

Petroleum technology department receives an official delegation from Petrograd of China
Written by عضو ارتباطAn official delegation from the Petrograd Chinese company visited the Petroleum Technology Department and was received by the Head of Department, Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Jawad, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit and the follow-up of the graduates, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Amin Douai, on Tuesday, 21/11/2017. The meeting included consultation and research to find an appropriate mechanism for joint cooperation between the university and the company as well as providing job opportunities for the students of the department in the company or training in them. The delegation also briefed the scientific laboratories in the department and the other sections of the university.
