On Thursday, April 18, 2024, in the department’s annex building, a group of fourth-year students in the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering presented a seminar on summer training at the Mishwar Foundation within the start-up team for a full month for third-year students in Basra Governorate.

The symposium included information about the program and its objectives, the courses offered and field visits, with an explanation of the nature of the training and the mechanism of application and acceptance within the program.

The assistant responsible for the specialty, Prof. Dr. Ramzi Sayhoud Hamid discussed the doctoral thesis by student Ayman Fawzi Zuwain, entitled: Hydrogenation of oil in gas, an advanced binary reactor consisting of metal-plated catalysts created from Iraqi kaolin clay and bentonite, on Thursday, 4/8/2024, in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Complex University.

A delegation from Al-Kitab National University, headed by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Sabah Muhammad Jalil, visited the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering on Sunday, 3/10/2024, and was received by the Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem and Assistant Head of the Department for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul Kadhim Al-Rubaie and a number of the department’s teachers. During the visit, the signing of a memorandum of understanding for joint scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities was discussed in a way that serves the interests of both parties, and through the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem expressed his happiness with the visit of the Al-Kitab University delegation, hoping that relations between the two universities would witness continued development.
