General conditions for applying for postgraduate studies
The general conditions for application and admission are subject to the regulations for application and admission to graduate studies approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Research and Development Department as follows:
1- The applicant for postgraduate studies must have a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering.
2- The age of the applicant to study for a master’s degree must not be more than 45 years.
3- A master's degree applicant is required to have actual employment service for a period of two years.
4- An interview is conducted to determine the candidate's eligibility for admission to postgraduate studies to ensure his physical, mental and psychological integrity by a specialized committee in accordance with the competence of the candidate for admission, provided that the interview takes place before announcing the admission results of the applicants who are candidates for admission.
5- Graduates of private universities recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research are entitled to apply for postgraduate studies.
6- Seats assigned to study on the private expense channel are outside the general admission scheme.
